Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man comes in three main versions: the original Eau de Toilette, a smoother Eau de Parfum and a concentrated Pure Parfum. They share the same pineapple, lemon and smoky birch DNA, but they do not wear the same. Here is how they differ and which one to buy.

Quick answer

  • Choose the EDT 105ml if you want the original sharp, smoky-fruity character.
  • Choose the EDP 200ml if you want a smoother everyday version and the best value per ml.
  • Choose the Pure Parfum if you want the richest, warmest version for winter evenings.

The EDT: sharp, smoky and iconic

The Eau de Toilette is the version most people know. Lemon, bergamot and pineapple hit first with blackcurrant and apple, then smoky birch takes over, softened by jasmine and rose. The dry-down of musk, ambergris, patchouli and vanilla is long-lasting for an EDT, and the opening is famously punchy, so start with two sprays.

The EDP: smoother and better value

The Eau de Parfum keeps the same notes but feels rounder. The citrus is less sharp, the birch is smoother and the base carries a little more vanilla and ambergris. Many wearers find it easier to wear day to day, and the 200ml bottle makes it the best value in the range.

The Pure Parfum: rich and warm

Pure Parfum is the most concentrated version. It wears closer to the skin at first and feels denser and warmer, with the vanilla and ambergris more obvious. It is ideal for cold weather and evenings, and one or two sprays last all day.

Which version lasts longest?

Longevity rises with concentration: Pure Parfum lasts longest, then the EDP, then the EDT. In practice all three perform well; skin type, climate and how many sprays you use make as much difference as the version you choose.

How to wear Club de Nuit Intense Man

  • Spray the neck and chest from about 15cm; avoid rubbing your wrists together.
  • Let it settle for 20–30 minutes before judging it; the smoky opening rounds out on skin.
  • In winter, one spray on a scarf or jacket keeps the scent going all evening.
  • Go lighter for the office: one or two sprays of the EDP is plenty.

Frequently asked questions

Is the EDP stronger than the EDT?

The EDP has a higher concentration and a smoother, longer dry-down, but the EDT has the louder, sharper opening. Many people find the EDT seems stronger in the first hour.

Do they smell the same?

They share the same core notes, so they are recognisably the same fragrance, but the EDT is sharper and smokier while the EDP and Pure Parfum are rounder and warmer.

Which is best as a gift?

The EDT 105ml is the classic choice. For someone who already loves it, the EDP 200ml is a generous upgrade.
